Esma founded AffectiveHalo after seeing how unconscious bias can quietly slip into clinical notes and then be inherited by AI systems. Her goal is simple but ambitious: to make clinical communication clearer, fairer, and safer, so that what goes into the record—and into AI—truly reflects patients rather than the biases of the system.
